CrewPost is a personal organisation tool for cabin crew, available on iOS and Android. This policy explains what data the app uses, what stays on your device, and the small amount of anonymous information sent to our servers.
CrewPost is operated by CrewPost LTD ("we", "us"), a company registered in the United Kingdom. CrewPost LTD is the data controller responsible for your personal data under UK GDPR. For any privacy question or request, contact info@crewpost.co.uk.
CrewPost lets you organise aircraft types, crew positions, break colours and fleet presets for use during briefings. Every feature works fully offline. The operational data you enter is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to us.
The following lives only on your device and never leaves it:
| What | Where | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Aircraft types, crew positions, toggle states | Local app storage | So your fleet is ready during briefings |
| Break colours, fleet presets, appearance settings | Local app storage | Your preferences |
| Trial start date and "free for life" (legacy) status | Local storage, Keychain, and your private iCloud (Apple) / backup (Android) | So your access survives reinstalling the app |
We have no servers that store the content you enter, and no account system.
When the app has an internet connection, it sends a small, anonymous message to the CrewPost backend (operated by us on Cloudflare). This lets us understand how many people use CrewPost, deliver important update notices, and configure the app remotely. It contains:
| What | Notes |
|---|---|
| A random install identifier | A randomly generated value with no link to your name, email, Apple ID, Google account, or advertising identifiers. Not the device's hardware ID. |
| Platform, app version, operating-system version | e.g. "iOS 18.6", "1.4.5" |
| Anonymous status flags | Whether a trial is active, whether a subscription is active, and whether the install has legacy "free for life" status, as plain yes/no values |
| Approximate country | Derived from your network connection at our edge. We do not store your IP address. |
This information carries no personal data, no accounts, and no advertising or tracking identifiers, and is used only in aggregate.
If you use the in-app feedback feature, we receive the message you write, plus your email address if you provide it, so we can reply. This is sent only when you actively choose to send feedback. The feedback message is not linked to the anonymous install identifier above. Please don't include confidential operational or employer information in feedback.
Subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play). We never see or store your payment-card details. Apple and Google send us anonymised notifications about subscription events (for example: started, renewed, cancelled, refunded) so we can keep aggregate revenue and retention statistics and provide support. These notifications are tied to a store transaction identifier, not to your name or contact details.
Anonymous diagnostics are retained only as long as useful for aggregate statistics. Feedback messages are kept while we handle and follow up on them. You can ask us to delete feedback you've sent at any time.
Under UK GDPR you have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to processing. Because the diagnostics we collect are anonymous, we usually cannot link them to you individually; for anything you've sent us by feedback, email info@crewpost.co.uk and we'll help. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
CrewPost is intended for working cabin crew and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. The "last updated" date above reflects the latest version, and material changes will be reflected here.
